Who We Are
The Dhiya Development Foundation is aimed at capacitation of youth in digital technologies; the introduction of technologies into South Africa that can have a positive social impact and inclusion of kids with disabilities in mainstream education.
The Acceptance of children with disabilities is critical to a healthy functioning country.
The Foundation is inspired by a young little one named Dhiya Singh. Born with Down Syndrome, also known as trisomy 21 due to a child being born with an extra copy of their 21st chromosome, Dhiya has grown into a beacon of hope for many abled and disabled children and youth. Her effusive light and unyielding positive spirit to push through any and all challenges she has faced imbues this Foundation with its purpose of being. Dhiya has expertly articulated technology into her constant engagement with the world and this continues to be the goal of the Foundation to inspire all children who need it.

As an organisation, we have a commitment to the ethical and just enablement of technology for the positive social impact for all underpinned by the Sustainable Development Goals. A core focus of our organisation is also pursuing the full inclusion of children with disabilities into the era of 4IR.
